The underground of London (that would be washrooms)

I love London...can never get enough of it and I get to visit one of my favourite persons in the world...my Aunt Elizabeth....who just happens to live in Hayes only 15 min. on the train to Victoria Station.

I think I can speak for most interior designers when I find myself compelled to check out the washrooms for the little piece de resistance when entering beautiful museums restaurants and hotels....the jewel in the queen's crown.   I was not disappointed.

Our first exhibit was  Diaghilev and the Golden Age of the Ballet Russes 1909-1929 at the Victoria and Albert...for anyone who loves theatre, dance, costume design and scenic painting  it was a visual extravaganza!...with artist such as Picasso and Matisse and Giorgio de Chirico designing backdrops and sets, Coco Chanel designing costumes, Jean Cocteau wrote scenarios for four productions, Igor Stravinsky and last but not least the dancers Vaslav Nijinsky, Bronislava Nijinska and George Balanchine just to name a few.

Oh yes the washrooms ....the V&A did not disappoint ...check out the ceiling detail.

Cheerio for now
